Getting it right, the right tone, the right material quality, and the right surface finish elevates a building from competent to considered.
Pictura is the Equitone series for projects where colour is a primary design driver. It brings the through-colour depth and long-term performance of fibre cement to a pigmented, ultra-matt surface coating that is UV-hardened and anti-graffiti and scratch-resistant. The standard range covers a broad palette of architectural tones. When those aren’t enough, thousands of custom-matched project colours are available on request.

Surface & Character

Where Tectiva expresses the natural character of uncoated fibre cement, Pictura applies a UV-hardened coating to deliver a consistent, controlled colour across every panel. The finish is ultra-matt, not the reflective sheen of a gloss or semi-gloss coating, but a flat, dry surface that absorbs and diffuses light rather than reflecting it back. The result is a colour that reads with depth and solidity rather than surface brightness.

What is the difference between Pictura and Tectiva?
Tectiva has a natural, uncoated fibre cement surface; its colour comes from the through-colour pigmentation of the fibre cement itself. Pictura has a UV-hardened pigmented coating applied to the surface; its colour is more controlled and more consistent across panels and available in a far wider range of tones, including custom project colours. Tectiva has a fine-sanded, textural surface character; Pictura is smooth, flat and ultra-matt. Both are through-colour; the base panel colour runs through the full depth, but Pictura adds a precision colour layer on top.
Yes. Thousands of custom project colours have been produced for Pictura; the colour-matching capability is one of the product’s key advantages for architects who have a specific palette in mind that the standard range doesn’t cover. Custom colours are subject to minimum order quantities. Yes. The UV-cured top layer on Pictura provides built-in protection against common spray paint-based graffiti. Most graffiti can be removed using standard graffiti removal products without damaging or dulling the panel surface. This makes Pictura particularly suitable for ground-level facade applications in urban environments where graffiti exposure is a realistic risk.
Yes, Pictura panels can be perforated in the factory to create decorative screening patterns, sun-shading elements or feature panels.
