The Fibre Cement Range That Covers More of the Build
You’d struggle to find a building type in Australia where the James Hardie™ range doesn’t have a role. External weatherboards on a coastal Queensland home. Fire-rated intertenancy walls on a Sydney apartment block. Wet area linings in a Melbourne commercial fitout. Flooring substrates under tiles in a suburban extension. The breadth of what this range covers is what makes it the benchmark.
CSP Architectural has supplied James Hardie™ product since the beginning. We carry the complete range across five categories: Commercial, External Cladding, Interior Linings, Fire-Rated Wall Systems and Floors. Every order is backed by our in-house take-off service and custom cutting capability.
Commercial
The commercial product category covers high-performance systems for office buildings, retail, education, healthcare and mixed-use developments, where the demands on external and internal cladding go beyond what residential-grade products are designed to handle.
External Cladding
The Hardie™ Exteriors range is where James Hardie™ has built its reputation in Australian construction. From classic weatherboard profiles to contemporary large-format panels, every product in this category is pre-primed, non-combustible and engineered for Australian weather conditions, UV, moisture, thermal cycling and bushfire exposure included.
Interior Linings
The James Hardie™ interior lining range covers everything from standard wall and ceiling linings in residential and commercial settings through to feature panels and wet area substrates. Non-combustible, consistent and compatible with standard jointing and finishing systems.
Fire-Rated Wall Systems
The HardieSmart® Fire & Acoustic Wall System range provides tested and certified fire resistance and acoustic performance in a single, factory-backed wall assembly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does CSP Architectural supply the complete James Hardie™ range?
Yes. CSP Architectural carries the full James Hardie™ range across all five categories: Commercial, External Cladding, Interior Linings, HardieSmart® Fire-Rated Wall Systems and Floors. If a product exists in the James Hardie™ catalogue, we can supply it. If you’re not sure which product applies to your application, our team can work through the options with you.
What is the HardieSmart® fire-rated wall system, and when is it required?
HardieSmart® is James Hardie’s range of independently tested and certified fire and acoustic wall systems for medium and high-density residential construction. The systems are required when the NCC mandates a specific fire resistance level for walls between sole occupancy units, at property boundaries, or in aged care and institutional settings. Each system comes with a complete technical package, tested FRL data, acoustic ratings and installation guides, making the certification process straightforward.
Does CSP offer a take-off service for James Hardie™ products?
Yes, and it’s included at no extra cost. Send us your architectural drawings, and we calculate the exact quantities required: sheets, fixing systems and accessories. It reduces waste, eliminates over-ordering and removes a significant amount of the back-and-forth that often slows down procurement. We also cut cement sheets to custom sizes in-house.
Which James Hardie™ products are suitable for bushfire-prone areas?
All James Hardie™ fibre cement products are non-combustible and are regularly specified in bushfire attack level (BAL)-rated zones across Australia. Specific BAL ratings vary by product and wall system configuration; the Hardie™ Exteriors and HardieSmart® ranges include systems independently tested and rated to specific BAL levels. Contact our team for the relevant technical documentation for your BAL-rated application.
Can Hardie™ Exteriors cladding be used on commercial buildings?
Yes. Several products in the Hardie™ Exteriors range, particularly ExoTec™ Facade Panel and Matrix™ Cladding, are widely specified on commercial buildings. For larger commercial projects, the ExoTec™ commercial system provides the panel dimensions, fixing systems and performance documentation that commercial construction typically requires. CSP’s team can advise on which Hardie™ Exteriors product is appropriate for your building type and NCC classification.
